BlueHunt was born out of frustration. We're hunters ourselves, and after years of juggling spreadsheets, group chats and half-finished apps, we decided to build something better.
Apps like WeHunt do a great job tracking dogs during the hunt — but what about everything else? The reality is that hunting in Scandinavia is about so much more than the days in the field. It's the off-season work that keeps it all running: checking that the feeders are full and working, maintaining the trail cameras, reviewing the footage and looking after the ground you hunt. None of that stops when the season ends.
And for the hunt leader the responsibility runs even deeper. Coordinating the finances, planning hunts, keeping track of who's attending and making sure everyone on the team is on the same page is practically a part-time job in itself.

BlueHunt is a web-based platform for running an entire hunting team — year-round, not just on hunt days. You handle hunt planning and scheduling, the harvest log, team messaging, trail cameras with AI species recognition, WildCare ground management and statistics all in one place. It runs in the browser and works just as well on desktop, tablet and phone.
No — not in this version, and that's a deliberate choice. WeHunt and Tracker do a great job with live dog-tracking during the hunt itself. We don't replace that in the current version. Instead, BlueHunt takes care of everything around the hunt: pre-season prep, finances, members, feeders, trail cameras, reporting and statistics. Many teams use BlueHunt alongside a tracking app.
No. BlueHunt is web-based and opens straight in your browser — no download required in this version. You just log in and you're up and running. Tip: on your phone you can add BlueHunt to your home screen, so it opens with one tap just like a regular app.
Yes. The interface is built to work well on mobile screens, so you can check camera photos, read team messages or report a harvest straight from your pocket. Keep in mind that BlueHunt is optimised for planning, administration and follow-up rather than real-time tracking in the field — and that it needs an internet connection to sync.
Yes, there will be — and we're already well on the way. We're currently beta-testing native apps for both iOS and Android with a group of hunters. They're being built to give a faster, smoother experience in the field: quick access to camera photos, team messages and harvest reporting, with push notifications.

Free covers the basics — hunt planning, harvest log and team messaging. Standard adds trail cameras, AI species recognition, WildCare and Excel export. Pro additionally adds unlimited cameras, more images per month and advanced statistics.
You connect your trail cameras to the team and the photos come into BlueHunt, where the AI helps identify the species in each photo so you don't have to scroll through hundreds of empty triggers. Beta The AI is a decision aid, not a verdict — you can always review and correct its suggestions, and they improve the more it's used.
The number of cameras and images per month depends on the plan: Free 2 cameras / 100 images, Standard 10 / 500, Pro unlimited / 2000. You're notified as you approach your limit — reaching it never removes what you've already collected, and you stay in control of your data.
No. One subscription covers the whole team. The team owner (usually the hunt leader) pays, and all members get access. There's no per-user cost.
The free plan holds up to 5 members. Standard and Pro have flexible team sizes — you pick the size (up to 10, 20, 30 or unlimited) that fits your team. Large teams of 20+ hunters are handled with no problem.

Yes. During the launch period you get the whole platform free for the first 3 months — every feature, including AI species recognition, with no card required. After that you can continue on a paid plan, or stay on the free plan that's there forever.
Payment is handled smoothly by card or PayPal via Stripe — securely, and we never store your card details. There's no lock-in: all plans run month to month (or yearly if you choose) and you can cancel whenever you like.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and the change takes effect from the next billing period. If you downgrade or cancel, your data isn't deleted automatically — it stays so you can easily pick up again later. You're always in control: in line with the GDPR, you can export your data or request its deletion at any time.
The team owns its own data. If you approach your image or camera limit we'll reach out in good time so you can upgrade if needed — and your data is never deleted just because a limit is passed or a plan changes.
